Lanikai Pillbox Hike - LaPearl Swim Photoshoot

I went through this hike to shoot a promo for LaPearl swim. They are a swimwear and active wear company that is showcasing their new products!

For this photoshoot, we decided to try and do it on the top of the Lanikai pillbox hike. This hike is located in the town of Kailua, East Oahu. I would rate the difficulty level of this hike easy. There are only some points where the inclines get really tough at the beginning but it’s definitely not much of a struggle.

My friend Alan suggested we do this hike at this particular day because there was a full moon and we can stay to see the moonrise. The thought of hiking in the darkness scares me. Luckily, he brought lights to guide us when we would head down the trail at nightfall.

Going up the hike, we say the sun peak through the clouds and it was definitely a site to see. The sky turned really colorful with hues of orange, pink, and purple during the sunset. It made me remember how beautiful the town of Kailua is.
