Exploring: New Zealand

I think the best thing you can do for your first trip to New Zealand is to make a reservation with a tour company. For this trip, we booked our tour through “New Zealand Couch Tours.” I figured that we do it this way so we did not have to worry about transportation.

Honestly, everything interesting to see in New Zealand is such a far drive! If you book a tour, you do not have to worry about anything! They even picked us up from the airport!

On this trip, I also found the importance of having an unlocked phone because for data purposes, it is always best to rent a SIM card to use for your international travels. The company we rented from is called “Vodafone.” It was fairly easy to set up too. Just buy the SIM card, stick it in your phone, and you are all good to go!

For this trip, we visited Auckland and Rotorua. I would say the best part of the trip, for me, was visiting Hobbiton. The movie set was so grand and vast. I definitely felt like I was literally in a fantasy world. I took so many photos and videos; I was simply full of joy.

The one thing that is super cool about New Zealand is that they are very conscience of the environment. Even when we arrived at the airport, they sprayed aerosol on the plane in order to make sure any bugs or insects that we might have brought along with us would not affect their ecosystem.

Overall, I would definitely plan to visit again. But next time, I will make a trip to the Southern Island of New Zealand.
